Samar Farooqui is a full-time slackliner with almost a decade of experience under his belt in unlocking the full potential of the human balance. He has represented India in the sport of Slacklining, with multiple features on television, newspapers and magazines across the world.
Samar’s slacklining adventures and passion have earned him brand associations with some of the biggest brands in the world. He holds a Diploma in Adventure tourism management from Queenstown Resort College, New Zealand. He has travelled for trainings and workshops around the world, slacklining with celebrities like cricketer Jonty Rhodes, movie star Kalki Koechlin,
Farhan Akhtar, Indian Idol Singer M. Chang, MTV personality Raghu Ram and several others.
Often regarded as the pioneer for Slacklining in India and the man responsible for bringing the sport to India. Samar’s quest for balance has given him experiences working with
people from several walks of life; from Syrian refugees and orphans to corporate honchos and movie stars; He has shared a moment of balance with them all. His passion driven work has been featured on several Indian television shows such as India’s Got Talent, Zee TV’s ‘I Can Do that’, MTV’s ‘HE ticket’ and news channels such as NDTV Good Times, IBN Lokmat and TV9 among others. As an individual he continues to push his limits by gaining experience and training in various adventure sports such as skydiving, rock climbing, paragliding & kite-surfing.
Samar holds the current highline free solo record of India, set at 33 meters on the 16th April, 2019.
